On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. As the Spirit descended with wind and fire, the followers of Jesus were empowered to speak boldly, to cross boundaries, and to share God’s love with the world. Pentecost reminds us that the same Spirit is alive and at work today—guiding, renewing, and sending us forth in faith, unity, and service.
